About Us

Vegan Traders is a small food distribution company, founded in 2005 by Risa Freeman, that promotes veganism for its benefits to personal health, animal rights, and the environment. She began by delivering the products of small, local producers to a few stores in the Los Angeles Area. In four years, Vegan Traders has grown substantially and now delivers to stores from Santa Barbara to San Diego. In all this growth, however, the company has not lost sight of its original aims. Vegan foods, produced locally, are still the main focus of Vegan Traders’ distribution. In four years Risa has been joined by a staff highly experienced in the handling of raw and vegan foods, including sales people and marketers knowledgeable in health and nutrition. Most recently, Risa’s husband, Bob Bradley, left his job in New York City and moved west to help bring Vegan Traders to even greater achievements.
